Dykstra / Post Field Trips at SWMCC Summer Weekend

Moments photographer John Dykstra along with Ed Post invite you to join them for two hands-on field trips during the SWMCCC Summer Weekend of Photography held on July 28 – July 31, 2011.

Friday 7:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Fee $30.00
An early morning hands-on workshop during the where there are an abundance of summer wild flowers and tiny creatures. This event is geared to the intermediate and advanced photographer. Bring a camera with close-up capability and tripod for photographing flowers and other small creatures.

Thursday 5:45 – 8:00 p.m.
Friday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Fee $35.00
We will travel by bus to a local preserve to photograph birds of prey including red-tailed hawk, great horned owl, peregrine falcon, etc. They are controlled by a handler and will be posed outside in natural settings in an open field. An opportunity to photograph large animals, such as deer and elk will also be available. Bring tripod and a long lens.
