Photographer Christopher Kierkus and his wife had just left Fayette, Michigan to drive out to Peninsula Point Light Station. There were thunderstorms in the area and one of them collaborated with the sun to produce this beautiful display which he captured from the side of the road.

From the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, Michigan – photographer Christopher Kierkus brings us another field of beautiful colors.
“Returning home from my sons’ Little League practice, I noticed a large puddle in a cornfield within walking distance of my home. I realized in about half an hour, the sunset would be lined up perfect in the tree line reflection. I grabbed my camera and returned just in time for the show!” ~ Stacy Niedzwiecki
Elk cows usually have two calves and are born in early summer. An elk baby is called a calf. It is light brown with white spots, as can be seen in this photo by John Dykstra.

Of her photograph, Stacy Niedzwiecki said, “Driving past an open field after a fresh coating of snow – reminded me of toasty rolls topped with vanilla icing! I enjoy getting out on the back roads after a snowfall with my camera – you never know what you may find.”
Brad Reed states, “I love this field. It is near the corner of Fountain and Stiles road. I was facing southeast when I took this photograph. The trees in this scene have intrigued me for years, but I had never found the right light or atmosphere for a great photo, until this morning.

In the fall of 2009 many of the apple trees held their apples for a long time. This has been altered in Photoshop© to allow the red apples and red barn to stand out by converting the rest of the image to a black and white.
